The Centre

THE CENTRE

"The Centre", or The Community Shop, at 14 Hamarana Rd has been operating since 2010 under the auspices of The Omokoroa Centre Trust.

The shop sells donated second hand goods as well as gift items made by local craftspeople.

From time to time The Centre runs programmes for special interest groups at the premises. eg Mums and Babies; pompom making for school kids; blanket knitting for charity; and, more recently, monthly morning teas for people who are new to the area.

The volunteers who help in The Centre happily give up their time to help others and all of the profits are donated to groups in the community.

Anyone is welcome to stop by for a tea or coffee at The Centre.
